Dale Erdmann
Dale worked on the family farm with his father raising sheep and grain. He also was an over the road tractor trailer driver. He was married to Kathleen Mealman for thirty-two years and two children Jeremy and Rachel were born to this union. Dale was a very talented craftsman. He built his log home west of Milford. He enjoyed making lots of special projects for family and friends though out the years. He spent many fun-filled weekends trail riding and camping with family and friends at Brushy Creek State Park near Fort Dodge and also in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He often could be seen taking evening excursions driving his homemade horse drawn wagon. He was a member of the Iowa Great Lakes Saddle Club. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, horseback riding, photography, and raising Longhorn cattle. Dale loved hunting, the outdoors and nature. He enjoyed tending to his many acres of woodland and observing the wildlife. Dale died Thursday, April 27, 2006 at his rural Milford home. He was fifty-seven years of age. He is survived by his son Jeremy Erdmann of Spirit Lake, daughter, Rachel Schoelerman and her husband, Jeff and their two children, Clare and Kate of Royal, IA, one brother, Paul Erdmann and his wife, Sally of Aurora, CO and many other relatives and friends.
