DeLilah Christensen
She was united in marriage to Wilbur Christensen on September 24, 1943 in Chicago. The couple made their home in Ringsted before moving to Spirit Lake. DeLilah was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Spirit Lake, where she was involved in circle. She was a member of the Democratic Party, VFW Auxiliary, as well as Jack Creek 4H Club as a leader. DeLilah was a gifted musician as she played and sung by ear. She was blessed with the gifts of generosity and thoughtfulness. She was a collector of cups and saucers as well as Wizard of Oz memorabilia. She cooked and baked to perfection and was especially known for her pies, cookies and potato salad. DeLilah was a woman of faith who believed in the power of prayer and Bible reading. DeLilah passed away Friday, November 10, 2006 at Lakes Regional Healthcare at eighty-six years of age. DeLilah is survived by her daughters, Linda (Jim) Ahart of Spirit Lake, Susan (Fred) Aderhold of Sioux Falls, SD, Deb (Richard) Knudson of Spirit Lake, and Sally (Craig) DeLoss of Spencer, Iowa. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Tami (Jerry) Gerlach, Tiffany (Bruce) Tiedemann, Dominik (Bridget) Knudson, Sarah (Dean) Pawlowski, Becky (Troy) Robinson, Heidi (Matt) Allen and Heather (Scott) Abels; eighteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved mother-in-law Anna Christensen, husbands; Wilbur Christensen and Maurice Jacobson and her brothers, Bert, Marvin and Max.
