Cordell Nance Cordell Ira Nance was born November 24, 1941, the son of Ira and Gladys (Hansen) Nance at Spencer, Iowa. He was raised on a farm near Dickens, Iowa, graduating from Lake Center High School in 1960. Cordell worked at Pure Fishing in Spirit Lake as a motor technician until retiring after thirty-nine years in December of 2005. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and outdoor crafts and was the worlds best channel surfer. Cordell was united in marriage to Nancy Joslin on March 17, 1989 in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Cordell passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006 at his home in Spirit Lake at sixty-four years of age. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Nance of Spirit Lake; step-son, Todd Wilson and his family of Atkins, Iowa; step-daughter Chelle Nance and her family of Dickens, Iowa; son Todd Nance of Milford, Iowa; daughter, Peri Schomaker of Osmond, Nebraska; other family and many friends.
