Bessie L. Glosemeyer Bessie Loretta Glosemeyer was born to Sam and Viola Rodgers in Jackson Township of Buena Vista County, Iowa on May 13, 1918. On November 22, 1939 she married Ferd Glosemeyer at Storm Lake, Iowa. They lived in Lakeview, Iowa, Ames, Iowa, Choctaw, Oklahoma, Perry, Iowa, Spirit Lake, Iowa and Milford, Iowa. As a homemaker she enjoyed needlework, sewing, cake decorating and writing. Mrs. Glosemeyer died Thursday, December 7, 2006 at the Milford Nursing Center. She was 88 years of age. She is survived by four children and their spouses Joseph Glosemeyer and his wife, Helen, Maxine Draisey and her husband, William, Theresa McTague and her husband, Pete and William Glosemeyer and his wife, Mary; fourteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand, daughter, Arlene Balder, and three brothers, Luverne, Russell and Donald.
