Victory
(Alvin)

Mighty man, vibrant voice
Small in statue, life rejoice.
He stood proud, he was never scared.
Chin uplifted, shoulders squared.
He feared not life, nor limb,
For he knew God was with him.
“Seek the Lord and His strength”

Vibrant life, loving man
Was never idle, working hands.
If he couldn’t do it he’d find something to rig
No cross too heavy, no battle too big.
He met the challenges life gave,
For God promises to protect and save.
“Seek the Lord and His strength”

Face forward; he knows where he’s been.
He never walked in the shadows of taller men.
At a steady pace, and with an ailing wife,
He traveled through the trials of life.
He carried his burdens with no despairing voice.
In the end, only victory; he will rejoice.
“Seek the Lord and His strength” (Psalm 105:4)
