William Bryant William “Bill” Cullen Bryant was born May 30, 1948, the son of Robert and Delores (McCarty) Bryant in Hartley, Iowa. He was raised in Sanborn, Iowa where he attended grade school in Sanborn and later, upon moving to Sheldon, he attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School. He attended high school in Sheldon. Bill entered the US Army on August 1, 1968, serving until receiving an Honorable Discharge on July 30, 1970. Bill was a member of the Catholic Faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He passed away on Friday, April 22, 2005 at his home in Linn Grove, Iowa, at fifty-six years of age. He is survived by his close friend, Janice Trebesch of Linn Grove, Iowa; children, Billy, Jenny and Joey Bryant of Marshalltown, Iowa; brother, Roger Bryant and his wife Trudy of Yates Center, Kansas; sisters, Dee Ann Anderson and her husband Gregg of Bloomington, Minnesota, Bonnie Barry and her husband Dave of Des Moines, Iowa, and Linda Harbst and her husband Jerry of Spirit Lake; mother, Delores Bryant of Arnolds Park; nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bryant and grandparents, Carroll Bryant, Lillian and Sam Wilkin, and Lyle and Mary McCarty.
