Verdell Marie Seely Verdell Marie Seely, 76, passed away at her home on Tuesday September 20, 2005. A burial service was held at 10:30 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Spirit Lake followed by a memorial service at 11:30 Am at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Verdell was born June 19, 1929 in Lone Rock, Iowa to Fred and Elna Boettcher. She married Frank Seely on February 8, 1948. They farmed around the Fenton, Iowa area until moving to Spirit Lake in 1963. She retired from Berkley Fishing as a purchasing agent after twenty-five years. Verdell is preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law Ervin Seely. She is survived by her husband Frank of Spirit Lake; sons David Seely and his wife Jennifer of Boise, Idaho and Kevin Seely and his wife Linda of Urbandale, Iowa; daughter, Jeanne Edwards of Altamonte Springs, Florida; brother Wayne Boettcher and his wife Delores of Fenton, Iowa; sister-in-law, Norma Seely of Spirit Lake; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. In place of flowers, memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Turner Funeral Home of Spirit Lake in charge of arrangements.
