Perry Franklin Griffin
Perry moved to California in 1953. He was united in marriage to Beverly Golla on October 10, 1954 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The couple made their home in California, where they raised their family. Perry was an owner/operator of Fast Way Trucking, while in California. He returned to Spirit Lake in 1993. Perry loved his family and enjoyed his grandchildren. His best friend was his dog “Trusty” who communicated like a human with him. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a sports fan. Perry passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at seventy-one years of age. He is survived by his children, Christine Montenegro of Spirit Lake, Cindy Tuthill of San Clemente, California, Steve Griffin of Spirit Lake and Greg Griffin of San Clemente, California. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, one great grandchild, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Velde, step-father Parker Dunham, mother Lulu Mae Dunham, brother, Ken Griffin, wife Beverly Griffin and a daughter Gigi Griffin.

Perry Franklin Griffin was born May 24, 1934 in Spirit Lake, Iowa, the son of Velde and Lulu Mae (Donovan) Griffin. He was raised and educated in Spirit Lake, graduating from Spirit Lake High School.
