Marjorie Sangl Marjorie Maude Sangl was born July 5, 1916 in Dickinson County, Iowa, the daughter of Archie Sr. and Nellie (Call) Brott. On March 8, 1934, Marjorie was united in marriage to Frank Sangl in Estherville, IA. Marjorie always said that her life began when she married Frank. The couple made their home in Minneota Township in Jackson County where she helped her husband on the farm. She was a dedicated wife and a loving mother to their four sons. Marjorie worked at Campbell Soup in Worthington as well as Stylecraft in Milford. She lived in Spirit Lake for a time until she moved to the Milford Nursing Home. Marjorie loved being outdoors. She spent a lot of time growing flowers and gardening. She also enjoyed crocheting, fishing, canning and baking as well as playing cards with her friends. Marjorie attended the United Methodist Church. Marjorie passed away on March 16, 2005 at the Milford Nursing Home at eighty-eight years of age. She is survived by her four sons, Bob and his wife Virginia of Dunnell, MN, Jim and his wife Janice of Wahpeton, IA, Lonney and his wife Karen of Wahpeton, IA, Dave and his wife Jackie of Omaha, NE; two brothers, Archie Brott and Mervin Brott; three sisters, Mabel Richardson, Bonnie Giddings, Pat Schultheis; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, a granddaughter in-law, Lori Sangl, a great-grandson, Spencer Wurr, three brothers and three sisters.
