Lois L. Morgan Lois L. Morgan, 95, of Lake West Okoboji died Wednesday, November 23 at Lakes Regional Hospital. A life long resident of the lakes area, she was born July 31, 1910 to Mark and Sybil (Shonkwiler) Wheeler. She married Frank Wheeler and they made their home on the Wheeler family acreage of timberland located in the Maywood area of West Okoboji where the family operated a campground and cottages. Lois was a lover of God’s creation, so in 2003, a generous gift of wooded area was given the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation known as Wheeler Heritage Woods. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. |
