Jean Nelson
On July 10, 1949 she was united in marriage to Stanley Nelson at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They made their home in Terril where she was a homemaker. Mrs. Nelson died at her home in Terril on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at 74 years of age. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing golf and cards, throwing beanbags and wintering in the South. Surviving are her sons, Doug and his wife, Deb, Jerry and his wife, Candie, and Dale and his wife, Bert all of Terril; daughter, Jeana and her husband, Tom Ridder of Omaha; nine grandchildren, Angie, Adam, Arin, Thad, Josh, Owen, Travis, Bridget and Ryan; four great grandchildren, Grace, Gavin, Cheyenne and Ellie; five brothers and one sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley and parents, Harvey and Gladys Lanpher. Jean Nelson was born June 30, 1931 to Harvey and Gladys Lanpher at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She received her education in Sioux Falls through the 12th grade at Bancroft, Whittier and Washington Schools.
