Hazel Anderson

Hazel Dorothy Anderson was born January 8, 1918 at Lakefield, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Dora (Bauer) Ahrens.

On September 22, 1940 she was united in marriage to Marvin (Bill) Anderson at Spencer, Iowa. They farmed near Harris, Iowa for a number of years before moving to Lake Park. In 1984 they moved to River Falls, Wisconsin were they lived for thirteen years, then moved to Spirit Lake. Hazel continued to live in Spirit Lake after Bill’s death in 1990 until four years ago when she moved to an assisted living facility in Correctionville, Iowa

Hazel was very active in the Lutheran Church, teaching Sunday School for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Spirit Lake.

She died Friday, November 25, 2005 at the Hudson Hospital, Hudson, Wisconsin.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Terry of Milford and his special friend, Shirley Fredericksen, of Lake Park and his son Troy and wife, Pam, of Sioux City, Billy and wife, Juliet, of Hudson, WI and Randy and wife, Bonnie, of Longville, MN and their children, Matthew and wife, Michelle, of Ramsey, MN and Nicole and husband, Brad, of Hudson, WI. Survivors also include three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, six brothers and five sisters.
