George Grussing George John Grussing was born to Louis and Anna Rademacher Grussing on March 24, 1924 at Lakefield, Minnesota. He was baptized on April 18, 1924 and confirmed on April 10, 1938 On February 2, 1947 he was married to Marlys Dagel at Rost Township, Lakefield. Minnesota. They farmed at Lakefield, Brewster and Lake Park before moving to Spirit Lake in 1989. He was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church of Lake Park. George died at his home Sunday, December 11, after a one year illness. Surviving are his wife, Marlys; daughters, Connie and Steve Monson of Tuscon, AZ and Linda and Keith Rients of Lake Park; grandchildren, Melissa Monson, Paul Monson, Gina Thompson, and Kelsey Rients; one great grandchild, Jorgen Thompson; and sisters, Louise Baumann of Lakefield, Edith Gentry of Prior Lake, MN. and Lucille Thom of Windom, MN. He was preceded in death by a brother, Loren Grussing and sisters, Laura Hessman, Mary Holmberg, Tillie Osterkamp and Frieda Grussing.
