Charles Simeon Edmunds

Charles Simeon Edmunds was born April 6, 1916 at Yetter, Iowa, the son of Charles and Charlotte (Martin) Edmunds.

Charles was united in marriage to Ruth Eileen Barie on January 19, 1937 in Jackson Minnesota.  The couple lived in Everly, Iowa and Spencer, Iowa until moving to Spirit Lake in 1948.

Charles worked for Stoller Fisheries for several years.  He also worked at Indian Hills Golf Course.  He loved to till gardens and enjoyed his six children, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Charles passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake.

He is survived by his children, Janet Paulsen and her husband Wayne of Fostoria, Delores Wills and her husband Harland of Spirit Lake, Joan Browning and her husband Leonard of Spirit Lake, Edith Arndt and her husband Fred of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Frank Edmunds of Spirit Lake and Pamela Edmunds of Spirit Lake.  He is also survived by his brother LaVerne Edmunds; sister Rae Brown; grandchildren Shane Arndt, Tim Browning, Curt Edmunds, Corey Edmunds, Brian Wills, Kim Paulsen, Jenny Reiter, Bobbi Schroder, Lisa Lyon and Angela Wills; sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandson; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth, sisters, Oneita, Faye and Lulu and a nephew Gerald Kruse.
