Thomas L. Ullensvang

Thomas Lee Ullensvang was born July 17, 1949, the son of Lawrence and Maxine (Bassett) Ullensvang in Halfa, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Estherville, where he graduated from Lincoln Central High School. Tom entered the US Air Force on June 16, 1970, serving as a Sergeant.

Upon receiving his Honorable Discharge, Tom lived in Sacramento, California, where worked as an accountant and roofer.

Tom moved to Milford in 1990, where he operated Gib’s Lounge.

Tom enjoyed traveling, building things with his sons, and walks on the ocean for sea-shells. Above all, however, he enjoyed his family.

Thomas passed away Monday, February 23, 2004 at his home in Milford at fifty-four years of age.

Tom is survived by his wife, Donna Ullensvang and his sons Tom, Jr., David and Charles. He is also survived by his mother, Maxine; sister, Linda; brother, Gary; granddaughter, Alyssia; daughter-in-law, Christen; sister-in-law Diana and her husband Russell; other family and his many dear friends that will deeply miss him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence “Fritz” Ullensvang, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
