Ruth M. Taylor

Ruth M. Taylor was born January 17, 1924 at Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Viven E. and Ellen D. (Wadington) Nash. She was raised and educated in Sioux City, where she graduated high school.

She was united in marriage to Wayne Taylor on October 10, 1942 at South Sioux City, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Spirit Lake, Iowa in 1959, where they lived for several years.

Ruth was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #775 as well as the American Legion Auxiliary Post #3 in Ottumwa, Iowa.

Ruth passed away November 28, 2004 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, Iowa at eighty years of age.

She is survived by her daughters, Barb Sobkowiak and her husband Steve of Farmers Branch, Texas, and Pat Harsch and her husband Stan of Ottumwa, Iowa; sister-in-law Evelyn Nash of Sioux City, Iowa; granddaughters Julie Haskjins and Jonnie Alvarez of Ottumwa, Iowa; grandson Stephen Sobkowiak of Farmers Branch, TX and five great grandchildren, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, grandson, Douglas Wayne Taylor, seven brothers and four sisters.
