Phyllis Larson Phyllis Jean Larson was born July 26, 1928 at Jackson County, MN to Reno and Ruby Bordwell. She graduated from Jackson High School, attended one year at Bethel College in St. Paul, three years at Mounds Midway School of Nursing and a year at University of Minnesota where she received her Bachelor of Science in nursing. On October 20, 1961 she was united in marriage to Paul Larson at Worthington, MN. They made their home in Worthington for 38 years before moving to an acreage north of Spirit Lake. Phyllis had worked as a homemaker and registered nurse. She was a member of Indian Lake Baptist Church, the 20th Century Club, was a 4-H Leader, and enjoyed gardening, music, needlework, bread making and baking. She died at her home on Sunday, August 22. Surviving are her husband, Paul; children, Steve Larson, Dawn Cox and Diane Rens; brother, David Bordwell; and eight grandchildren, Tyler, Rebecca, Nicholas, Micah, Jonathan, Joel, Katie, and Peter.
