Lillian Crumlett Lillian Mary Crumlett was born to Minor and Emma (Traver) Jones near Milford, Iowa on October 17, 1912. She graduated from Spencer High School and then taught in a one-room school for many years. On June 8, 1939 she married Ed Crumlett. The couple farmed northwest of Terril where they raised their five children. Lillian taught Sunday School at the Methodist Church for over twenty years, she was a Cub Scout Den Mother, active in Eastern Star, a volunteer for the DARE program, in public schools for which she received an award from the Governor. In 1969 Lillian and Ed moved to Terril where she resided for the remainder of her life. She was well known to all Terril residents who often saw her as she walked to the post office or church. She was a ready volunteer for a good cause. Her family is very appreciative of the residents of Terril who looked after her for these many years. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward Crumlett, infant son Richard, parents, Minor and Emma Jones, eight brothers and sisters: Lottie Taylor, Harley Jones, Clyde Jones, Lee Jones, James Dale Jones, Glen Jones, Winnie Robinson, and Maurice Jones. She is survived by her sister Mabel Carr of Milford, five children Bob Crumlett and his wife, Mary of Streamwood, Illinois, Pam Forbragd and her husband, Ken of Bemidji, Minnesota, Sharon Wright and her husband, Lyle of Spirit Lake, Iowa, Tom Crumlett of Spirit Lake, and Bill Crumlett and his wife, Waltraud of San Antonio, Texas; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, many, many nieces and nephews as well as many very good friends.
