Florence Erne Florence Erne was born to Bert and Emma (Aarp) Fisher on March 15, 1911 at Wilton, Iowa. She completed her education through the eighth grade. In 1932 she was united in marriage to Ernie Erne at Fairmont, Minnesota and one son, Everett was born to this union. The couple lived and farmed near Dickens, Terril and Milford. After Mr. Erne’s death in 1960 Florence became a nurse’s aide at the Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake. Florence has been an Arnolds Park resident since 1965. Mrs. Erne died Saturday, May 29, 2004 at the Milford Nursing Center. She was 93 years of age. Florence was confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Terril on March 25, 1945. In her youth she loved to roller-skate, as a homemaker she liked to cook and garden. Florence also enjoyed caring for the residents at the nursing home where she worked prior to her retirement. She is survived by her son, Everett Erne of Arnolds Park and one sister, Dorothy Spoo of Lakefield, Minnesota. Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Emma Fisher, five sisters, Vera, Hazel, Verla, Velma, and Hattie; and four brothers, Alan, Harold, Donald and Harry.
