Dora Paxton Dora Paxton was born to Henry and Anna (Holdorf) Bergendahl at Holstein, Iowa on March 31, 1911. She attended schools at Turton, South Dakota and Sioux Valley, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Chester Paxton on November 18, 1932. The couple were blessed with five children. Dora was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Auxiliary and Silver Lake Cemetery Society. She loved to cook, and worked at Sunnyside, Elsie’s and Larson’s Cafes. Dora passed away Saturday, April 24, 2004 at Lake Park Care Center in Lake Park at ninety-three years of age. She is survived by her children, Patricia Burrows of Muscatine, Iowa, Barbara Ackerman of Princeton, MN, Jerilyn Lee and Cathyrn Paxton, both of Lake Park, and Michael Paxton of Milford. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other family.
