Bernice Lloyd Bernice Elaine Lloyd was born July 4, 1915 at Sac City, Iowa to Arthur and Ida (Conley) Myrick. Bernice received her education at Spirit Lake and Terril schools, graduating with the class of 1933 at Terril. On September 8, 1934 she was married to Edward D. Lloyd. To this union, six children blessed their home. The couple first made their home on a farm west of Milford, later moving northeast of Spirit Lake. They also farmed at Hartley. Upon retirement in 1965, they moved into Spirit Lake. In her youth she belonged to Natures, Methodist Youth Fellowship, 4-H and later, Rural Womens Clubs. Bernice worked for Spirit Lake Bakery for 12 years. She passed away Saturday, January 10 at Lakes Regional Hospital at 88 years of age. Bernice is survived by her children, Lavona Hagedorn of Spirit Lake, Ed Lloyd Jr. and his wife, Rose, of Harris, IA, Stanley Lloyd of Spirit, Calvin Lloyd of Des Moines; sister, Nadine Burgeson of Hot Springs, AR; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. Preceding her in death were her husband, Edward; daughters, Linda Eeten and Teena Gilbert: sisters, Irene Tritle, Helen Myrick, Neva Wilson, Nelda Hassman; and brothers, Ralph and Darwin Myrick.
