Arlene Stovin

Arlene Stovin was born September 3, 1920 in Milford, Iowa, the daughter of Wade Perry and Pearl Louise (Nelson) Wilson. She was raised and educated in rural Milford.

On November 15, 1936, Arlene was united in marriage to James Jefferson Stovin in Milford, Iowa.

The couple made their home outside of Milford, where they farmed. Upon her husband’s death in 1972, Arlene moved into town. She worked at the Buy Rite Deli for several years.

Arlene was a member of Union Memorial Church in Milford. She enjoyed living on the farm where she worked hard as a farm wife. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and neighbors.

Arlene passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake at eighty-three years of age.

She is survived by a daughter Lois Trojahn and her husband Marvin of Moneta; grandchildren Brian Trojahn and his wife Jeannett of Everly and Brenda Espey and her husband Larry of Hartley; great-grandchildren, Heather and Brandon Espey, Jennifer and Jessica Trojahn; sister, Dorathy Davis of Huachuca City, Arizona; brothers Dick Wilson and his wife Helen of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Howard Wilson and his wife Joyce of Milford, Bob Wilson and his wife Madge of Boardman, Oregon, Jim Wilson of Milford and Earl Wilson and his wife Doris of Sierra Vistra, Arizona; several nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and an infant daughter, Katheryn Louise.
