Alvin Charles Ogle

Alvin Charles Ogle was born on August 18, 1930 in Superior, Iowa, the son of Emery and Margaret (Rhodes) Ogle. He was raised and educated in Dickinson County.

On November 23, 1956, he married Betty Von Holdt. The couple made their home in Spirit Lake where they raised their five children.

Alvin worked as plumber in the Lakes Area his entire life. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

Alvin passed away at his home on July 4, 2004 at seventy-three years of age.

He is survived by his wife Betty, his children, Penny Boysel and her husband Jim of Milford, Floyd Ogle of Pinedale, Wyoming, Dawn Carkhuff and her husband Dan of Milford, Deanna Tackett and her husband Bob of Milford, and Donald Ogle and his wife Sheryl of Spirit Lake; 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; other family and many friends.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
